Spencer Bloodworth’s Bio 

Spencer Bloodworth was born & raised in Salisbury, NC, where his interest in music began with the classic Memphis soul, Motown, outlaw country & beach music of his parents’ record collection. After learning the fundamentals of bass guitar from Eric Upton at Oasis School of Music in China Grove, NC, he moved into self-taught electric & acoustic guitar playing, eventually studying music at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, including playing in the jazz ensembles of local legend Bill Hanna. He has been teaching guitar, keyboards, & vocals since 2013.

Spencer is the guitarist, vocalist, & bandleader of the Charlotte jam & blues band The Bloodworth Project. He also performs as a solo acoustic folk & country act around the Carolinas. As a teacher, he loves helping students find inspiration & their own personal style, tailoring an individualized lesson plan for each student; he believes music is an empowering & stabilizing force than anyone can enjoy.
